SHARK Stuffie

Handcrafted toy and ritual object filled with German sheep’s wool.

All of the imagery is hand drawn, carved, and block printed in Berlin. All of the fabric used is second hand, salvaged, or recycled. Some of the fabric has been hand-dyed with a mix of cabbage, onion skins, coffee, tea, and turmeric.

Each animal and plant depicted offers precious metaphorical wisdom while also reminding us of its unique need for protection: of its species and habitat.

The inks used for block printing are listed as CPSC, CPSIA, and CE compliant; however, the inks are not safe to ingest. Fabrics that have been dyed with plant pigments are not fixed with a mordant and will fade in the sun, bright light, and with the passing of time.

All works are made in small batches and are thus limited in supply.
